Cecilia Wolfenstein-Harris is an Integrative Chartered Counselling Psychologist with more than 15 years of experience working across diverse mental health settings in London, UK. She draws on a wide range of evidence-based psychological models to create a collaborative, attuned, and personalised therapeutic experience. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Cecilia has a particular interest and specialist expertise in supporting adults who have experienced childhood abuse and developmental trauma. She is experienced in working with the long-term impact of early emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, as well as neglect and disruptions in early attachment relationships. Her work is grounded in providing a safe, steady, and compassionate environment where individuals can explore and process the lasting effects of early trauma at a pace that feels manageable.
Cecilia works part-time in an NHS specialist trauma service and part-time in private practice. She has extensive experience supporting adults with a broad range of psychological difficulties, including complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD); childhood sexual, emotional, or physical abuse; neglect; anxiety and depression; bereavement and loss; addiction and substance misuse; relationship difficulties; and emotional challenges linked to chronic illness and living with HIV. She also supports individuals experiencing the effects of stress, relational trauma, identity-related concerns, and longstanding patterns of emotional distress.
Throughout her career, Cecilia has worked within several NHS Trusts across London. Her roles have included trauma services, homeless outreach teams, sexual health and HIV clinics, addiction services, mood and anxiety services, personality disorder pathways, and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT). She has also provided psychological therapy within the mental health charity Mind, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.
Before training as a psychologist, Cecilia worked professionally in the field of art and design, an experience that informs her appreciation for creativity, expression, and the uniqueness of each client’s therapeutic journey. She warmly welcomes LGBTQ and neurodiverse clients.
Cecilia offers therapy in English and Swedish. She offers psychological therapy, clinical supervision, medico-legal assessments and reports and training.
