Sarah has over 15 years’ experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, working in the private, voluntary, and public sectors.
She began her career at the Tavistock Clinic working in a complex and chronic conditions service, with health anxiety and medically unexplained symptoms. In her subsequent NHS career, she gained further experience working with the impact of physical health issues including traumatic diagnoses.
Sarah also has a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing the impact of developmental and relational trauma, including early neglect and abuse, culminating in reactions to cumulative trauma and attachment issues.
She is trained and experienced in delivering Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, Couples Therapy and EMDR.
Sarah also has experience in working with several employee assistance schemes, supporting clients with workplace difficulties. She is qualified as a clinical supervisor, and has broad experience of group and individual supervision and reflective practice in the NHS, privately and for staff wellbeing teams.
