Jocelyn Blumberg
Jocelyn is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist who trained in South Africa. She has worked mainly in the field of adult mental health and has specialised in working with people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD further to human rights abuses. She has worked in a range of settings including South Africa and Turkey with trauma survivors.
Jocelyn worked at the Traumatic Stress Clinic at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (https://www.candi.nhs.uk/services/traumatic-stress-clinic), a specialist service for the assessment and treatment of Complex PTSD from 2005-2021, while at the same time running an independent psychology practice, conducting medico-legal assessments and training leading law firms and voluntary sector organisations in understanding trauma and trauma-informed practice.
In 2021, she took a role as Deputy Lead at Keeping Well NCL, an NHS and Social Care staff wellbeing service set up in response to the Covid pandemic. Her role included consultation and training aimed at embedding models of trauma-informed organisational practice across the North Central London care system.
In 2023, Jocelyn left the NHS to focus on trauma-informed consultancy and training, as well as on her clinical practice. However, she continues to work in an honorary capacity at the Traumatic Stress Clinic and is currently contracted to provide advanced trauma-informed practice skills training to staff across Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.
